Earl Barton Cricket Club Pitch and Outfield Construction

In August we constructed a new cricket pitch in Earls Barton, including a 37m x 25m square and outfield. Once the outfield was laser graded we could set the levels for the 12 wickets. The square was excavated and the formation lightly culitvated and laser graded. GSB club loam was applied in layers, consolidated and laser graded. 6:5:18 fertiliser was applied and MM50 seed sown. The outfield was gravel banded and prepared for seed, which was sown with MM29.
