Empingham Cricket Club Square Renovation
October 2013
Fineturf have just renovated Empingham Cricket Square. Based in Rutland, Empingham had contracted Fineturf for the first time and we were glad of the opportunity to work alongside another local cricket club. The square was scarified in 2 directions using a Graden. Scarification removes organic matter such as thatch and moss allowing air into the surface and encouraging new growth. The Graden leaves rows of arisings on the square which were cleared. Limagrain MM50 wicket seed, a 100% ryegrass mixture, was applied at 60gm2. Following this, 6T of loam was spread and finally 6:5:18 Autumn fertiliser applied at 40gm2.
