Golf Course Rough Cutting and Grass Baling
September 2012
Fineturf have completed rough cutting projects at The Belfry, Newark Golf Club and Sleaford Golf Club. This summers weather conditions, heavy rainfall and sunshine, has presented green keepers with challenging conditions. Large areas of rough have become longer than usual and our clients approached us for a suitable solution to reduce the length of this rough.
Firstly, the rough was cut using a Kuhn Disc Mower. The cuttings were then moved into rows using a Vicon Acrobat, a machine generally used for rowing hay. Finally, a Lely Baler was used to create grass bales, which were removed from the site.
Our clients have been delighted with the speed in which the areas were brought under control and how tidy they were left upon completion of the works.
