Hucknall Football Club Pitch Extension

In May we extended a football pitch in Hucknall for Barratt Homes. The area was cultivated using a Blecavator and graded into the existing pitch edge. The 55 existing lateral drains were located and extended by 14m. 3 new lateral drains were installed, 65m long and the main drain was also extended. Lateral drains were filled with 80mm pipe and the main drain with 100mm and both were backfilled with 6-10mm washed gravel and sand. The area was re-cultivated and a Blec stone rake used to prepare the seed bed. 10:15:10 fertiliser was applied and Limagrain MM60 sown at 50gm2.
