Lincoln City FC Training Pitch Construction

We have constructed a new football pitch at the Lincoln City FC Elite Performance Centre. We cut drains into the formation and installed the pipework and backfilled with drainage gravel. The drains were connected into the main drainage system.
We spread and graded a 100mm gravel carpet followed by a 225mm sports rootzone layer and a 50mm layer of 90/10 rootzone. Finally, we spread fibre sand and ameliorated into the top 100mm of the surface.
We carried out final ground preparations, applied a pre-seed fertiliser and sowed MM60 amenity seed. During the project we also re-instated sprinkler heads and commissioned the irrigation system.
