Lincolnshire Showground Show Preparation
June 2012
This years Lincolnshire Show took place on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th June. The annual agricultural show features live stock and equine competitions, agriculture and ground machinery displays, vehicle displays, floral shows, craftwork and live music amongst other things.
The Clydesdale Bank main ring is a primary focus during the event with shows and displays taking place throughout the two days. Prior to this years show the ring was in need of some renovation to ensure it looked at its best for the thousands of visitors.
Fineturf were awarded the contract and visited the site on 21st May. During this visit the ring was overseeded, using a Vredo Disc Seeder and MM60 amenity grass seed. A granular 14:2:6 fertiliser was also applied.
Fineturf returned the week prior to the show and sprayed a soluble 14:0:0 fertiliser at 60kg per hectare and liquid iron at 25L per hectare. Both fertilisers, supplied by Headland Amenity, delivered a final green flourish to the ring, the results of which can be seen below.
