Linden Homes Pond Construction

During this project we worked for T Balfe Construction to construct a pond as part of a new Linden Homes development. We supplied heavy plant including Volvo EC140 excavators and Volvo A25 dumpers. We excavated 8000m3 of material for the lake formation and stockpiled on site. We then trimmed and shaped 6000m2 of material to construct the banks and laid a geotextile membrane. Using the previously stockpiled topsoil we then graded a 300mm layer onto the banks. We also graded a level access and a track leading to the pond. Finally, we sowed amenity grass seed to the pond base, banks and a 3 metre strip around the perimeter.
