Lords Cricket Ground Outfield Renovation

Since September 1997, Fineturf has been responsible for the specialist maintenance of the Main Square and Outfield at Lords, including all end of season renovations.

The Outfield

Throughout the last four End of Season Renovations, we have refined our methodology to decrease thatch buildup and improve surface drainage on the outfield. Our approach involves Graden Scarifying in two directions, cleaning off the debris using our Trilo S4 vacuum collector. After this operation, we hollow core and collect cores with our John Deere Aercore & Sisis Litamisa, following which we drag mat to lift any panned debris, and carry out a final pass with the Trilo SG400. We then supply, deliver, load, and spread 60 tons of Sports Sand with Dakota 440 spreader followed by Vredo Disc Seeding in 4 directions a DLF Rye Fescue seed mix @40g m2 and drag mat. Finally, all debris is removed from the site and taken to Fineturf Greenwaste Recycling Centre.
