Lords Cricket Ground Outfield Renovation

October 2024

The outfield renovation began with Graden Scarifying in two directions to effectively remove thatch. The debris was then cleared using a Trilo S4 vacuum collector. Following this, the surface was hollow cored, with cores collected by our John Deere Aercore and Sisis Litamisa. A drag mat was used to lift any compacted debris, and a final pass with the Trilo SG400 ensured a pristine finish.

We delivered, supplied, and spread 60 tonnes of Sports Sand using a Dakota 440 spreader, ensuring optimal levelling and drainage. The outfield was then seeded using Vredo Disc Seeding in four directions with a DLF Rye Fescue seed mix applied at a rate of 40g/m², followed by drag matting to complete the process. All debris was removed and responsibly recycled at Fineturf Greenwaste Recycling Centre.

This meticulous process demonstrates our commitment to preserving Lord’s as the premier cricket venue, combining cutting-edge techniques with sustainable practices to ensure enduring quality and excellence.
