Lords Cricket Ground Pitch Construction

In June, during the annual renovation of Lords, we were also asked to construct a new pitch on the square. The area was marked out and the formation excavated. The formation was laser levelled and consolidated. Loam was imported and spread in layers. Each layer was laser levelled, consolidated and keyed with the Graden. Keying ensures the layers bind and stabilises the construction. The final sufrace was prepared with a Blec Stonerake. Pre seed fertiliser was applied and MM50 cricket seed sown.
