Roehampton Club Croquet Lawn Construction
October 2017
Roehampton Club, located near Richmond Park, was founded in 1901 and was originally home to three polo pitches, a racecourse and a show ground. Today the private members club features a golf course, tennis courts and four croquet lawns. The club, which has hosted four World Cups, is regarded as one of the top international Croquet venues in the world and we welcomed the opportunity to renovate one of their prestigious lawns.
The existing turf was removed and the surface cultivated and precision laser graded. 40 tons of sports sand was spread and ameliorated into the soil which was then laser graded. The lawn was also gravel banded. We carried out final ground preparation, applied 6:5:18 fertiliser applied and installed Tillers Turf greens grown on USGA rootzone.
