Trent Bridge Cricket Ground Single Wicket Re-Construction
September 2015
In September we visited Trent Bridge cricket ground to re-construct one of their wickets. We began by excavating the wicket to approximately 5 inches and laser graded the formation. The formation was keyed using a pedestrian Graden. Three layers of loam were applied and each one was tracked in and again keyed using the Graden. Using the Graden on each layer prevents root breaking on the finished wicket. The wicket was lightly stone raked with a Blec and then luted. Finally, seed and fertiliser were applied and the wicket hand raked.
