Uttoxeter Racecourse Deep Tine Aeration

In May, we conducted a project at Uttoxeter Racecourse aimed at improving the racetrack. Our team used a Charterhouse Verti Drain machine that was fitted with 19mm tines to aerate the surface. The process involved creating holes in the racetrack, which allows air and water to penetrate the soil, promoting healthy grass growth. By improving the condition of the racetrack, we aimed to provide a better experience for horses and jockeys during races, as well as ensuring that the track remains in top condition throughout the year.
