Warwickshire County Cricket Club Artificial Cricket Strip Removal
October 2018
In October we worked at the training ground of Warwickshire County Cricket Club to remove an artificial wicket and construct a natural wicket in its place. The artificial wicket was removed and the formation for the new pitch excavated using a compact excavator. Topsoil was used to raise the ends of the removed wicket to the correct level. The formation of the new pitch was laser graded and Ongar loam spread, laser graded and consolidated. The surface was handraked ready for seed. A 6:5:18 fertiliser was appplied and MM50 cricket wicket seed sown.
